Hello, I am Mariana! So lovely to meet you! I was born and raised in Mexico. Currently I am living in Cambridge as I recently graduated from the Children’s Book Illustration MA. I am a story collector and I enjoy painting and playing with colour.

I studied filmmaking which developed my passion for storytelling. It gave me the opportunity to study abroad in Spain and Austria and develop my skills as a visual communicator. I love visual arts because I think it is a way to connect with others and express emotions that go beyond words.

My dream is to make picture books for kids because I think it is a beautiful way to make stories that are short and meaningful. I enjoy the process of creating sequences through the page turn. I have a keen interest in layout and design.  I wish to develop my skills as a designer because I think that the way we present the message, influences the experience of the reader. I am very curious and enthusiastic; I love to learn and give the best of me. I like to work with others to create strong projects.

In my free time you can find me cooking and spending time with my friends. I like boardgames, bike tours and a good cup of tea.
